RESEARCH PROJECT UPDATES
I am absolutely elated to share this exciting research update! Not just one, but two research projects that I have been a part of have both been accepted at an upcoming medical conference in California this February!
Read on for the details - and for a very special offer.
YOUR BREATH CAN HEAL YOUR BACK PAIN

The first project was a randomized controlled trial I initiated and completed as my capstone research project for my doctorate in Physical Therapy school, "Effects of Pranayama Yoga Breathing on Chronic Low Back Pain: A Randomized Controlled Trial." This was a project that I put together with my research team and in generous collaboration with a local yoga studio, Happy Goat Yoga with Lindsay Schooler in Wheeling, WV (she's wonderful, definitely connect with Lindsay if you're ever in Wheeling!).
We were curious to determine if a simple 3-part yoga breathing practice could significantly improve the quality of life, pain and disability status of research participants with an active history of chronic low back pain. It was a tremendous amount of work, but Kaitlin Herzog, Codi Benavides, and I, under the guidance of our research advisor Mohammad Hadadzadeh, managed to put together a randomized controlled trial.

Participants came to two in-person guided breathing practices per week for 8 weeks and were instructed to practice at least twice per week at home. We found at the end of the project that there was a statistically significant improvement in all functional outcome measures in the research group compared to the control group, which did not participate in the intervention.
TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!
In celebration of this project getting accepted, we are making the research intervention materials available here! As a self-paced Online Program, participants can watch the weekly slideshow presentation, answer journal prompts, and practice along to the guided audio recordings (recently digitally remastered) and gain the evidence-based benefits for themselves.
SPECIAL OFFER
As a special offering to my community (that's you!), you are welcome to use a coupon code justbreathe at checkout to access the entire course for free. The offer expires December 31, 2025. Join now!
THE BLOOD CLOT CASE

The second project is a Case Report which, in short, suggests that FSM can resolve a blood clot in 90 minutes, titled "Use of Frequency Specific Microcurrent in Resolution of Deep Vein Thrombosis: A Case Report."
I've written about this case in two former blog posts, one when I first submitted the Abstract to the Combined Sections Meeting (yay, we got accepted!) and the second when I first submitted the Case to a peer-reviewed scientific journal (still waiting to hear from them!), which you can access here:
There is a difference between presenting a case as a Poster Presentation, which is what I'll be doing at the APTA's CSM event in February, and getting the case published in a scientific journal, which -- fingers 🤞 crossed -- I hope I'll be announcing soon!
THE APTA COMBINED SECTIONS MEETING
I'll be presenting the two posters at the American Physical Therapy Association's Combined Sections Meeting in February of 2026. This involves designing a poster which highlights each research project's background, objectives, methods, design, outcomes and conclusion. I will be orally presenting each poster and findings to a group of peers at the meeting during a two hour segment at the conference. I'll be a busy lady this February!
After the presentation, I'll share more with you all here on the Resonant Frequency Medicine Research Blog, so be sure to subscribe if you don't already get updates in your inbox. Thank you sincerely for your excitement, encouragement and support!
If you are an FSM practitioner and interested in how to become a research-clinician, I will be sharing a streamlined way to navigate this process in my upcoming FSM Mentorship Program. The next cohort launches April 1, 2026, and you can learn more on the Mentorship page. If you are eager to chat before then, you're welcome to book in for a one-on-one consultation appointment or join one of our regularly scheduled, monthly FSM Practitioner meetings!
