Manifesting : Clarity + Space + Ask + Receive

Updated: Feb 5

I'm still pinching myself over how aligned this is ...

I've been dreaming of living onsite at a place where I can help take care of horses for probably three years now. When I took an Animal Frequency Balancing course this past summer with my best friend, the course instructor Lori shared her love of American Saddlebreds, which re-ignited a spark in me that said I've GOT to find a way to work with Saddlebreds again!

I grew up on horseback at a lesson barn in a suburb of Chicago, riding American Saddlebreds, Morgans and Arabs, and while I love all horses, Saddlebreds take the cake. They have so much personality, their nervous systems tend to be up-regulated in a way that demands those who work with them be grounded, centered, and balanced. All horses are mirrors of our internal state, but Saddlebreds do it best, and working with them helped me to hone the skills of nervous system regulation without me even recognizing it until many years later.

Riding Saddle Seat (a lesser-known English style) no longer appeals to me, as I'd rather be bareback or walking / running alongside my horses, or even better, collaborating in healing work in a RoundPen Session. So recently, when I really slowed down to check in with myself, with what I really want in my life, with what lights me up and feels in the highest alignment with my soul's purpose ... I realized that I needed to make a change and create space in my life for horses.

I had no expectation that those horses would be Saddlebreds! Why? Because Saddlebreds are rare! Secondly, most people have their horses in a training or lesson program. Thirdly, we're in rural Colorado, land of the Quarter Horse ...

So I crafted a Craigslist ad, "Experienced Equestrian Seeking Housing to Care for Your Herd," and after just a few days, I heard from a sweet woman who had a herd of horses and a garden apartment, the perfect situation waiting for me. Her horses? All four of them are half-Saddlebreds.

If the message from the universe was any clearer it would have bit me!

So in just a few days I get to move into my new home which is still just 15 minutes from my Physical Therapy Clinic, where I'll be able to see the herd of 4 horses and 3 mini donkeys out the window. The owner of this herd couldn't be sweeter, and I'm pinching myself ...

I am so excited to see what unfolds as I help care for this sweet herd.

And from this incredible experience, I would encourage you to get some clarity on what you truly want in your life, create a little space for it, and just ask. I would love to hear what shows up for you!
