I began my career saying to my patients that Frequency Medicine is the Medicine of the Future (props to Dr. Carolyn McMakin, and even further back props to Albert Einstein, who was quoted, "Future medicine will be the medicine of frequencies."), but the truth is, Frequency Medicine is the medicine of NOW! We're here, we're doing profound work with frequencies, and we're already transforming medicine!

The evidence for Frequency Specific Microcurrent and Frequency Specific PEMF is mounting (see these pages dedicated to tracking the research here and here), and devices that emit or transmit frequencies are being developed faster than any of us can keep up with (as a side note, I am still certain that the tech we utilize at Resonant Frequency Medicine is the best in dual-channel microcurrent and PEMF delivery).
ONCE CONSIDERED QUACKERY
Used to be that surgeons and dentists would roll their eyes or worse, demand that they cease treatment when my patients reported to their procedures with frequency specific microcurrent units, and now it's like we're in a different world where these supportive modalities are encouraged and welcomed. I even had a surgeon reach out wanting to collaborate on publishing results from a surgery that had such a significantly improved outcome from what he expected post-op he could hardly believe it. Frequency Medicine is not "quack"-worthy anymore. It's fast becoming the standard of medical care.
And with good reason -- with the significant pain relief, measurable reduction in inflammation markers, generation of mitochondrial energy, and non-invasive nature of this kind of therapy, what's not to love?
FREQUENCY MEDICINE IS QUICKLY BECOMING MAINSTREAM
Most of us have seen Cardiologist Sean Wu, MD, PhD and acoustic bioengineer Utkan Demirci, PhD's work at Stanford utilizing frequencies (already 7 years ago!) to organize and generate different heart tissues, and if you haven't yet, here's a great video demonstrating the Cymatics of that work:
I remember sitting at a medical conference 2 years ago and nearly jumping out of my seat with excitement to learn that a case report on the effectiveness of FSM on reducing fibrocystic breast tissue was published (rather than rejected with the standard, "that's not medically possible" which is how so many FSM research hopefuls have been denied in the past). It's been so slow. We should be so much farther along by now. There should be a whole research institute getting funding and working out the basic science behind why and how this technology works, tracking real-time changes in bloodwork and cell metabolism, tissue changes via ultrasound and nerve conduction. There are so many possibilities and avenues for Frequency Medicine to explore from a rigorous scientific basis and yet our field has been moving at a snail's pace for the last hundred years.
A new study comes out and people get so excited about it -- which is great, and worth celebration to be sure! But why is the advancement of Frequency Medicine going so slowly?
FREQUENCY MEDICINE IS STILL IN ITS INFANCY
Frequency Medicine is still in its infancy, even over one hundred years after Nicola Tesla reportedly said, "If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration." and Edgar Cayce predicted "The medicine of the future will be music and sound."
People like Dr. Royal Raymond Rife and Dr. Albert Abrams were documenting what would be considered medical miracles using their frequency devices, all to be destroyed in a disturbing part of our American medical history (see our post on The History of PEMF).
And fortunately, the field is growing fast! So buckle up and stay tuned for what's to come.
FREQUENCY MEDICINE ON A PODCAST? COOL!
A client of mine recently shared this podcast which has some good (and some misleading) information about Frequency Medicine, which excites me to see on a relatively mainstream podcast, as this technology is no longer being referred to as pseudo-science but rather is slated to become the first line of medical intervention. Here's my quick clinical take on the above podcast:
While biofield scanners, impedance sensors, biofield mapping and quantum scanners (etc etc etc) are useful, insightful and interesting, in my clinical experiences treating patients who have had these scans from various devices (from TimeWaver to Healy to NES and more), we are still in the realm where nothing beats a full history-taking & physical exam ... even high-tech quantum devices. There is something about an experienced practitioner connecting with the human being standing in front of them that results in more diagnostic acuity than these device scans can accomplish. Don't get me wrong -- I love when my clients come in with the latest results from a scan, but I don't blindly rely on it because there have been more times than not that the scan has missed something critical, or the limitation of what it's programmed to scan results in a complete missing of the root cause of that person's problem. For me it's both / and ... not mutually exclusive.
